After completing his degree in Political Science at the University of Southampton, Augustus Taylor decided his future lay elsewhere and instead wanted to pursue a career in his interest in people, human nature and “why we do the things we do”.

The hotel and restaurant industry seemed like the perfect industry to satisfy this interest, so he began researching the best places to study.

“Three of the five highest-ranked hotel schools are in Switzerland,” he explains, “and you have to go where the reputation is to get the best possible experience. I wanted to experience something new and meet people from all sorts of places – Vietnam, China, Portugal.”
